LEED-NC - Indoor Environmental Quality
EQ Credit 4.1: Low-Emitting Materials: Adhesives & Sealants
EQ Credit 4.1 stipulates that all adhesives and sealants used on the interior of the building shall comply with the requirements of South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule #1168. SCAQMD Rule#1168 sets volatile organic compound (VOC) limits for adhesives and sealants applied on site. A Tate floor system is installed by using a multi-purpose construction adhesive provided by Tate to fasten the pedestals to the building floor. Tate provides two brands of adhesive which comply with the Rule#1168. The most frequently used brand is AIM 382; the Seal Bond 95 brand is sometimes used in highly seismic regions.

Recycled Content
MR Credit 4.1 & 4.2
Increased demand for building products that incorporate recycled content and the documentation process required for LEED certification have prompted us to generate an easy to use tool for calculating and presenting our access floor system’s recycled content.
Section 1 below contains pdf sell sheets designed to provide an overview of Tate’s commitment to the environment along with our position on recycled content for each of our flooring systems.
Section 2 contains easy to use Excel spreadsheets with full detail of the recycled content of our system and its components. The spreadsheet is formatted in such a way as to provide all anticipated information as required in the LEED 2.1 standard under Material & Resource Credit 4.1 Recycled Content. We have prepared two excel documents; one for ConCore systems and one for All Steel systems.
